Combine culture and mathematics in this unique version of bingo that can highlight your students’ home languages. 

Instead of numbers, each square on the bingo card features an image representing a cultural element along with the word in their corresponding language. The caller says the word in the native language, and students mark the matching image on their card.

The mathematical twist? Rather than marking four in a row to win, students must mark off a designated mathematical pattern, like these examples attached below, to win.

As examples, this set of bingo cards (also attached below), was designed for a math outreach project serving the Northern Cheyenne community in Montana, supported by MAA’s Neff Outreach Fund.
