X+X/2+1/2=(3X+1)/2 so therefore the collatz adds one half of itself and adds another one half if odd.
and subtracts one half of itself if even. So the difference in the even and odd numbers is that odd adds a extra one half. This allows the odd numbers to turn into a even number that leads to one. Any help proving this would be appreciated. Thanks
