    MOP Open Positions (1-month seasonal term; renewable): 

    We are looking for new leadership for Mathematics Olympiad Program (MOP) to include an Academic Director, Residential Director, and four Resident Assistants:

    AMC for ALL Committee (1-year term):  

    The AMC for All committee is creating access to equitable mathematics enrichment and problem-solving resources for teachers and students in under-resourced schools and under-represented communities. We are looking for support in the following areas: 

    Committee Member: 

    Industry professionals to collaboratively design deliverables such as DEI teacher training support, student learning strategies and math application, awards and recognition, engagement opportunities, and career connections. Honorariums start at $3,000 with a term length of one year. 

    Principal Investigator (PI): 

    The Principal Investigator will oversee, coordinate and manage the design and creation of committee deliverables. They will work closely with staff to ensure timelines are met and committee members are supported. Since the project deliverables are wide-ranging, it would beneficial for this person to be a seasoned professional in the K-12 DEI/education space. This position comes with an honorarium with a term length of one year.

    Sliffe Committee Chair (3-year term): 

    With James Tanton stepping down from his position, we are seeking a new Sliffe Committee Chair by late spring. 

    The Edyth May Sliffe Awards for Distinguished Mathematics Teaching in Middle School and High School are given annually to middle and high school mathematics teachers who have done outstanding work to motivate students in mathematics, namely by participating in one of the MAA American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) competitions. 

    The Sliffe Committee Chair directs the process of selecting winners of the Edyth May Sliffe Awards given annually to individuals who use mathematical competitions to encourage, mentor, and involve students in the study of mathematics. At least 20 awards will be given each year.
