RSA is Dead, Long Live PQC! Teaching Cryptography in the Quantum Era

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has determined that the forms of public-key cryptography which are commonly taught in undergraduate number theory and abstract algebra courses will soon become obsolete due to quantum computers. Luckily, there are “post-quantum” cryptographic algorithms which are still accessible to undergraduates and we will outline some of them.
