Dear community members,
we are pleased to welcome you to this new MAA community! We very much look forward to discussing with you on this forum, and during our first webinar this coming Monday August 17. To prepare for the webinar, we hope you will be able to complete assignment 0 beforehand. This assignment is having you write a short math autobiography -- you can find the pdf in the library files under "assignments", but I have attached it here as well.
If you have registered for the session on Monday (it's not too late if you haven't!), we would appreciate if you could send a quick email to
dei@maa.org before the 17th at noon eastern time, with title "Aug. 17 session", telling us:
- your name and institution;
- your role at your institution (undergraduate student, K-12 teacher, post-doc, etc);
- whether you would prefer to be in a Zoom breakout room, for small group discussions, with people in a similar role (for example, students might not want to be mixed with staff).
We also welcome receiving your assignment 0 answers in that email, but if you feel comfortable sharing them on this discussion board, others might find your stories inspiring and uplifting -- or just interesting!
